As A Most Wonderful Fact, This Review Is Of Kyouran Kazoku Nikki
Posted by Tallon in Anime (General), Full Reviews on June 27, 2010

Or “As a most wonderful fact, I, Tallon, have written a review of Kyouran Kazoku Nikki” but that’s way too long for a title.
So following up with the horrible disappointment that was Durarara, I finished up Kyouran Kazoku Nikki and got the exact opposite. Now I’m, as usual, behind on reviewing this, and in this case I had actually never seen this – when it first came out I meant to watch but I kept forgetting the name and never got around to it because of that. So finally I just got a full torrent and have been watching a few episodes every day and finally just marathoned the last 5 today.
I wasn’t sure what to expect other than a fun silly type show that I always for some reason figured would be pretty good, and it definitely was those things. But ‘pretty good’ doesn’t really do it justice as it was probably one of the better shows I’ve ever seen – and I’ve seen a lot so at least for me that says a lot.
Durarara Final – DURRRRR-arara

A complete disappointment. And before I go further – I know this only covers around up to volume 3 of the novels and the story is nowhere near complete at this point, but I’m talking about this as an anime series so keep those thoughts up your ass where they belong. And on that note – it’s no excuse for a shitty ending, Baccano didn’t cover the full story at all either and yet it had a great and satisfying ending and amazing series, so yeah.
Masaomi singing Linda Linda (which is probably my favorite Blue Hearts song) in his character CD makes up for this though, so all is forgiven. I hope a season 2 will be made soon – as much as I’m about to bitch, I did enjoy this show, I’m just upset this is how they made the last episode, that’s all. And keep in mind – just before watching this episode I spoiled myself with a few KKN episodes and the newest episode of OoFuri 2 which was amazingly good, so I’m a bit more picky at the moment.
Something for you to listen to while you read my ranting that you’ll probably disagree with.
This is really the only way to explain it – Durarara throughout was a pretty good show, nothing AMAZING, nothing special, but a good watch especially with what else has been coming out lately (complete fucking garbage other than OoFuri 2). But this last episode completely destroyed even that ‘pretty good’, it was awful and one of the biggest disappointments I’ve had in awhile in regards to anime. I wasn’t expecting much but damn they didn’t even deliver something mediocre as an ending, they delivered complete garbage.
Let’s review the episode – nothing happens, more nothing happens, and then nothing happens.
Catching Up Again

So, as the next couple of seasons of anime have literally NOTHING (with like 2 exceptions until winter which, i dont know whats showing winter so ‘until winter’ at this point) I’m going to be watching I figure I’ll try and post other stuff more.
So I’m still only watching Durarara!! and Ookiku Furikabutte season 2. Both of which are still doing alright and luckily aren’t becoming shit.

I finally watched it.
It’s shit.
Complete shit.

Character of the Day #2 – Kirino Chiba
Posted by Tallon in Anime (General), CotD on April 28, 2010
Kirino Chiba is the team captain of Muroe High’s kendo team, and one of the five main female members and main characters in the anime series Bamboo Blade.

Kirino has a burning passion for Kendo, but she’s basically the only member – aside from her there are two douchebag guys but they think they are badass so they don’t bother going to club at all. So basically, she’s there all day alone with the coach Ishida (who goes by Kojirou) who is voiced by Kamina’s seiyuu and is a lazy bum. Even so she goes daily and practices as best as she can by herself (don’t take that out of context) and nags Kojiro to get serious, recruit some members, and become a real kendo team and not this shoddy little club. Eventually – due to a bet unbeknownst to her for a year long supply of sushi – he finally does get a bit more serious and the story goes from there.

Anime is (not) Going to Die 1.1
Posted by Tallon in Anime (General) on April 27, 2010
I’m sure there are other posts about it, and I know plenty of conversations going on about it elsewhere but oh well, just wanted to put in my say on it. And sorry but yes it’s a wall-of-text post. And I know I’m not good at writing this stuff like this as I’m a pretty extreme “stream of thought” type, but oh well I had a lot to say – even if it might be stupid, incorrect, or whatever else this is my blog afterall, so fuck it.
And yeah, I know, very long but I had a lot to say so whatever.
So for those who don’t know you can read his post at whatever shitty blog i guess is their official blog HERE. To sum it up in short – he sounds like a child who isn’t getting his way and is blaming everyone else for his problems and claiming “Anime will die” without his holy gospel being a part of it. Not only that he bitches and moans like a retarded faggot about how IF U STOP DOWNLOADIN ANIMUZ ITLL SAV THE INDUSRTY ITS AL YOUR FAULT ITS SHIT YOU THIEVING SCUMBAGSSSSS STOPPPP HURRRRR
I have one thing to say to that;

-
Fuck you.
