I don’t really approve of any. Some sounded good before actually hearing them in the role (just based on seiyuu and character) but…yeah. Though, unlike with drawing and style changes, i can understand in the case of voices that people read things completely different from one another. The images you can see, so comparing them with at least the game rather than say if it was a normal book and imagining up the characters is a lot easier. While really making comments on voices comes even more into ‘hurr durr thats just your opinion’.
Either way though, I think the cast ranges from shit to alright from what I’ve heard so far. That would be …Battler, Maria, Jessica, and those shown in the video above. I don’t really like any of them. Ono D does a pretty good Battler sense he’s played a lot of roles like that or just cuz his voice fits, i dont know but its one of the few i actually like.
The only other one I like is Eva.
I figured uguuuuu/auuuu would be a good choice for maria but the way she uses her voice this time around makes her sound more annoying than dawwww.
Rosa and Hideyoshi are alright, not good, but not shit either. Rudolf sounds a little too old to me but he’s fine too i guess.
Krauss sounds like someone failing horribly at an impression of Norio Wakamoto, which is just annoying and rageworthy so I won’t even bother commenting further on him. ಠ_ಠ
That’s all. I forget how Jessica sounds though, oh well. If you havn’t, but want to hear, Battler, Jessica, and Maria’s voices, just uh…I dunno. Theres a video on youtube and nico and such of Battler and Jessica’s voices, and then the drama track has maria as well. I don’t have any of those on hand anymore so yeah.
Well they are all shit and ruin the look of most of the characters, but oh well here’s everyone in both forms. I didn’t want a post that goes on forever, which this already will, so I’m splitting it up by family members in this post and ill post again right after with the rest of the cast (beato, the …..furniture, and so on)
I’ll put em in the same kind of hierarchy cuz im lazy. And having played the game it’s pretty hard to accept these horrid designs, though I’m sure to most of you (especially if you havnt played the game) they will look fine or whatever, too bad.
Yeah I’m behind as I’m not too excited about watching this, though it’s getting better i suppose compared to episode 1. Also that says valkyrian Barnacles, not barnadles.
Anyway, episode 2 of Valkyria Chronicles…The art seems to be a lot better than it was in episode 1 which, to me, makes no sense. You’d think they’d spend more money on episode 1 than randomly on 2, but hey whatever, this is from the guys who made Gunslinger Girl 2…so i’m surprised the art is even good enough to keep me from wanting to gouge my eyes out this time.
Well, I ran an anime stream on mogulus since back in December by another name (which has a lot of good shit on its anime-on-demand, but no link for reasons), and I never thought about making one for 2D, my brother figured we should once he saw it so we started one just recently.
So finally a real post again. Things got good and then they got bad again so I was busy with the same shit again - that and Mabinogi had a huge update so I’ve been playing that pretty much all the time to keep myself ‘busy’ with something. I originally played the open beta waaay back, but recently started and got lucky that a few weeks after I started again there was news about an extremely large update and it’s here now. So yeah.

This coming season looks like such shit, most of these already extremely few titles I plan on giving a shot I’m only doing so I can feel like there’s more chances of something good.
